He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sacobie and Bertha Sacobie (Nash); his former wife Darlene Sacobie; his siblings, Warren, Mike, Glenna and Molly; and his nephew Kenny "Munster".

He is survived by: his brother Ray Sacobie (Glenna) of St. Mary; his children, Bert Sacobie Jr (Carrie) and Lucy Sacobie; his grandson Dylan Sacobie (Tamara Morgan); and his niece Raylene.

For those who wish, memorial contributions to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation have been suggested by the family.
