He was predeceased by: his brothers, David and Dennis. He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy Parker, Cleveland Leavitt and Ty Chevarie of Lake Utopia; his grandchild Makenzie Comeau; his siblings, Jimmy Leavitt (Gail) of St. George, Laurie Leavitt (Ellen) of Petitcodiac, Vance Leavitt of Saint John, Maurice Leavitt (Brenda), Lorraine Cooke (Vaughn) of Sussex and Lynn Landry of Saint John; his nephews, Chris Leavitt of Lake Utopia and Jayson Leavitt of Edmonton; his niece Marlene Barrett of Back Bay; and also, Joannie Cunningham and Larry Cunningham of Blacks Harbour. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
