She was predeceased by: her husband Keith Borthwick of Letang, NB; her parents, Melvin Dunbar and Urania Dunbar (Hinds); her grandson Carl McGowan; and her brothers, James Dunbar and Julian Dunbar.

She is survived by: her children, Diane McClintock (Fred) of Hampton, NB, Colin Borthwick (Leona) of St. George, NB, Kevin Borthwick (Catherine) of Oak Bay, NB and Graham Borthwick (Paula) of Canal, NB; her grandsons, Craig McGowan, Shane Borthwick (Stephanie) and Jared Borthwick (Siobhan); and her sister Doris Simpson of Canal. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Remembrances to the Pennfield Presbyterian Kirk, Fundy Nursing Home, Alzheimer Society of NB, NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
