He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Chessie and Mary Chessie (Donnelly); his brother Harold Chessie; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Avis Harris.

He is survived by : his wife Dawn Chessie (Harris); his children, Tammy McGee (Tony), David Chessie (Shelley), Jody Chessie (Heather) and Kayla Schriver (Larry); his grandchildren, Stacey (Dave), Justin (Sarah), Joey (Lara), Randy (Jessie), Cameron, Ben, Jenna (Josh) and Sarah (Justin); his great grandchildren, Brett, Emme, Lincoln, Harrison, Hunter, Everett, James, Arielle, Mikaela, Carly, Oliver and Violet; his brothers, Albert Chessie (Carol) and Joey Chessie; and his siblings-in-law, Danny Harris (Norma), Brenda Little (John), Carla McCulley (Joe), Barbara Harris, Heidi Levert (André) and Valerie Mazerolle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
