He was predeceased by : his parents, Hedley McIntyre and Irene McIntyre; his siblings, Betty Donahue, Edna Cleghorn (Raymond), Ronnie McIntyre (Lorraine), Harold McIntyre and Jackie McIntyre (Rose); and his wife Linda.

He is survived by : his stepdaughters, Jolene Messer (Joel) of McAdam and Stephanie Harvey of Rhode Island; his siblings-in-law, Leah Loaf, Rodney Trecartin (Norah) and Bill Trecartin (Candy); his grandchildren, Tori Messer (Ben), Tyler Messer (Brittany), Gabrielle Messer (Adam), Cody Harvey and Brandon Harvey; and his great grandchild Aubree Guptill. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
