He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Matchett and Helen Matchett. He is survived by: his girlfriend Shelley Moffitt; his son Sean Matchett (Jenna); his stepchildren, Krissy Hood (Josh) and Greg Hood (Natalie); his brothers, Glen (Marilyn) of Moncton, NB and Greg Matchett of Moncton, NB; his brother-in-law Kim Moffitt (Brenda) of McAdam, NB; his grandchildren, Carter (Kaylee), Christopher (Emma), Vedder and Cole; and his nibling Edmonton AB. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A masonic service was held on Saturday, July 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St George's Anglican Church (53 Rockland Dr, McAdam, NB E6J1V3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron's memory to Lakeland Industries, Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or St George's Anglican Church McAdam would be appreciated.
