She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ann Carter (Mitchell Brown Cunningham) and Garnet Millage Carter; her husband Robert "Bob" Berry; her former husband Alton Brownell; her sons, Bruce Brownell and Leslie Brownell; her great grandchild Sara Brownell; and her siblings, Hilda, Gladys, Marga Jean, Alan, Ronald and Donald.

She is survived by: her children, John Brownell (Bonnie), Jean Brownell and Stanley Brownell; her sister Audrey Spence (Paul); her grandchildren, Travis Brownell (Tina), Miranda Beal (Ronnie), Lesley Brownell, Taryn Brownell and Olivia Brownell; and her great grandchildren, Isacc, Libby, Aleah, Emmie, Madison, Caleb, Addy, Bria and Cohen. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hazel may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation, Drew Nursing Home, Sackville Curling Club, Sackville Golf and Country Club or to the charity of one's choice.
