He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard and Christine "Tena" Mitchell (Conley) of Mill Cove; his wife Christina Mae Mitchell (Tinker); and his siblings, Grayson, Marvin, Marion, Annie and Lorna.
He is survived by: his sister Evelyn Huntley; his children, Kathleen Mitchell, Theresa Matthews (Dana) and James Allan Mitchell (Barbie); his grandchildren, Kristy (Jeremy), Jessica (Jeffrey), Jamie (Breanna), Kacie (Matt) and Amy (Cohan); his great grandchildren, Madelynn, Harmon, Alonzo, Alden, Ruxton-James, Wrenley, Rowan, Weston and Cohan-James; and his nieces, Violet, Amber, Ella, Layla and Dr. Kay.
