He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Cookson (Hoyt); his parents, Thomas Cookson and Inez Cookson (Sansom); and his brother Llewellyn. He is survived by: his children, Shelley Cookson of Dartmouth, NS and Trevor Cookson (Mona) of Fredericton, NB; his grandchildren, Mitchell J. Touesnard, Samantha L. Cookson and Vinh L. Cookson; his sisters, Brenda Mersereau (William) of Fredericton, NB and Kathy Mazerall of Millville, NB; and his sister-in-law Pearl Marrit. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
