He was predeceased by: his parents, Napoleon Gautreau and Mary Gautreau (Caissie); his daughter Mary Jean Gautreau; and his brothers, Alfred, Francis and William.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Gautreau (Parson); his daughter June (Wayne Malloy); his grandchildren, Chelsey Gates (Jacob Eatmon) and Megan Gates (Bailey Charters); his great grandchildren, Layla and Novah Eatmon; his siblings, Emile (Louise Goodwin), Eddie, Norman Gautreau (Jo-Anne) and Lorraine Despres; and his sister-in-law Ramona Gautreau (Lapointe). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

For those who wish, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
