She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Ackerson and Evelyn Ackerson (McKay); her husband Eldon Parsons; and her sisters, Eleanor Munn, Freda Young, Viola McLean and Betty Munn.

She is survived by : her siblings, Weldon (Anna), Floyd (Joan), Ernie (Wanda), Wayne, Daryl (Gayle), Garnet (Doreen), Roger Ackerson (Rhonda), Marie Pelkey (Ed), Lorna Macbeth (Eldon), Cheryl Smith (Warren) and Carole Joy Mackenzie (James); and her brothers-in-law, Ivan Young and Charlie McLean. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
