He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Poirier and Alice Daigle; his wife Lena Poirier (Boucher); and his siblings, Tilmon, Eva, Ola and Rheal Poirier.

He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Poirier; his stepson Ronnie Boucher; his grandsons, Neil Fisher and Steven Fisher; his pet Rex; his sister Ida Roper; and his sister-in-law Eva Poirier.
