It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alberta (Bertie) Fowlie (Miramichi, New Brunswick), born in Escuminac, New Brunswick, who passed away on July 15, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugh Lewis and Hazel Lewis (Williston); her husband Theodore Fowlie (Ted); her son Gary; and her siblings, Kenneth and Eva.

She is survived by : her children, Carolyn Jenkins (Michael) of Saint John, Sharon Adams (Rick) of Miramichi Bay, Margaret Holland of Okotoks, AB, Lynda Adams (Garth) of Airdrie, AB, Patti Fowlie of Riverview, Debby Manuel (Jean-Rene), Trudy Fowlie of Riverview, David of Calgary, AB, Ralph (Marjeanne) and Kevin (Jolaine); and her sister Ruth Kierstead (Ron) of Miramichi. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.

As per updated Phase 2 COVID-19 regulations, masks remain mandatory in all public places, and social distancing is still required between those who are not friends and family.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extra Mural Nursing Program would be appreciated by the family.
