It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Sherrard (Miramichi, New Brunswick), who passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Howe (Creamer) and William Howe; her close friend Charlie Dunn; her children, Donald Sherrard, Allan Sherrard and Joan Marie Sherrard; her grandson Trent Sherrard; and her siblings, William, Joan Marie Howe and Kercila White.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Maillet (Rick) of Miramichi, David Sherrard (Irma) of Miramichi, Norman Sherrard of Miramichi, Sterling Sherrard (late Anna Leigh) of Red Deer, AB, Todd Sherrard of Miramichi and Johnny Morrison; her siblings, Davida McDowell of Shannex, Debbie Lavoie of Miramichi and Edward Howe (Valerie); her grandchildren, Brandie, Jami, Kevin, Tyler, Marlee and Amber; and her great grandchildren, Kenedie, Calie, Kennedy, Jace, Parker and Graysen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Northumberland Funeral Home (102 Pleasant St, Miramichi, NB E1V1X7). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
