Bernetta Mary Banks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernetta Mary Banks (Miramichi, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence O'Toole and Isabell O'Toole (Lynch); and her husband Allan. She is survived by: her children, Karen (Doug Howe), Darren (Lynda) of Riverview, Cathie (Lloyd Loggie) of Fort McMurry, Crystal (Scott Giffen) of Halifax, Treena (Andrew MacPherson) of Riverview and Troy (Krista King); her grandchildren, Raymond, Cynthia, Adam, Rebecca, Eric, Tyler, Sara, Kelsey and Brayden; her great grandchildren, Adrien, Antoine, Peter, Cameron, Lucy, Allen and Clyde; her cousin Connie Oulton of Halifax; her family, Beaubear and Bernetta; and her brother Keith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Northumberland Funeral Home (102 Pleasant St, Miramichi, NB E1V1X7). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Friendly Neighbor Senior Club (26 Sutton Rd, Miramichi, NB E1N5V7). A Mass was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (12 St Patricks Dr, Miramichi, NB E1N5T9).
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Nelson School Breakfast program, the Friendly Neighbors Seniors Club, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
