We bid farewell to Charles Allen Whitney of Miramichi, New Brunswick, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 27, 2025 at the age of 77. Charles touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whitney and Theresa Whitney (McLean); and his siblings, Mary T. Russell, Joyce Gilks, John and Burnley.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Hachey (Kevin) of Eel Ground, Natalie Whitney (Mason) of Miramichi, Eugene Whitney (Thao) of Calgary, AB and Terry Whitney (Darla) of Miramichi; his brother James Whitney (Audrey) of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Dylan, Emma, Andrea Ward, Carlee, Camryn, Presley, Charleigh Whitney, Jade Dawson (Cody), Terrance and Sarah Whitney; and his great grandchildren, Walker and Ellie Dawson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Northumberland Funeral Home (102 Pleasant St, Miramichi, NB E1V1X7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
