With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edward Whalen (Miramichi, New Brunswick), born in Chatham, New Brunswick, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Whalen and Caroline Whalen (Murphy); his close friend Eldon McGrath; and his sisters, Peggy, Betty, Kay, Nina and Mary.

He is survived by: his close friends, Bart Hannah and Reggie Flynn; his wife Donna Whalen (Knowles); his children, Sherry Lynn Zielinski (Jarrett) of Calgary, Christa Cripps (Ralph) of Miramichi, Edward Whalen (Patti) of Fredericton and David Whalen of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Bailey, Jakob, Reese, Caden, Grey, Seth, Nikka, Chase and Jaxton; his great grandchildren, Sawyer and Kane; and his siblings, Gertrude Bernard (Harold) of Truro and Billy Whalen of Miramichi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
