He was predeceased by: his close friend Janet Enright; his brothers, James (Joyce) and Gerald; and his parents, Archibald McLaughlin and Lillias McLaughlin (McCartney).
He is survived by: his sister Lillias Manderson-Ross (Ted); his nieces, Natalie (Francis), Sherrylynn (Grant), Pam and Sandra (late Pete); and his nephew Andrew McLaughlin (Alana).
