He was predeceased by: his parents, David Laws and Effie Laws (Payzant); and his brothers, David, Bill and Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Greta; his children, Darlene Sobey (Shelton), Jim Laws (Carrie) and Patricia Strapps (Tom); his grandchildren, Andrea (Kyler), Lianne (Rob), Hannah, Jonathan, Sam, Matt and Megan; his great grandchildren, Quinn, Eva, Olivia, Kallie and Kamden; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan, Graham and Emilie; and his sisters, Betsy, Joanie and Jo.
As expressions of sympathy donations made to St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Maple Glen Cemetery or Mount St. Joseph's Nursing Home would be greatly appreciated by the family.
