It is with sadness that the passing of Joan Jones (Miramichi, New Brunswick) is shared. Joan, born on November 21, 1929, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Finlayson Brown and Agnes Tait Brown; her siblings, Chrissie, Isaac, Marg, Helen, Nessie and Billy; her husband Ivan Jones; and her children, Maureen, Brian and Bradford.
She is survived by: her children, Diane (Amos) of Douglastown, Gary of Faro, Yukon, Wayne (David) of Dorchester, Darlene (Brian) of St. Margarets and Greg (Brendah) of Miramichi; her daughter-in-law Heather of Riverview; Eric Blanchard of St. Ignace. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (1386 Water St, Miramichi, NB E1N1A4).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
