He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bracken and Edith Bracken (Landry); and his son-in-law Stephen Laforest. He is survived by: his wife Anne Bracken (St-Coeur) of Miramichi; his children, Eden McDougall of Miramichi and Leigh Bracken (Paula) of British Columbia; his sister Diana (Geoff Plourde) of Saint John; his grandchildren, Crystal Walls (Max), Courtney McGinn (Jared) and Taylor McDougall (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Madison, Chloe Walls, Ella and Rowan McGinn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Newcastle Lions' Club or to a memorial of one's choice.
