With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonce Joseph Placide Gallant (Miramichi, New Brunswick), who passed away on December 31, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alban Gallant and Elizabeth Gallant (Bourque); and his siblings, Alban, Raymond Gallant and Katherine Saulnier.

He is survived by: his wife Joan McDade; his children, Alban Gallant (Sheila) of Sooke, BC, Judy MacNevin (Donnie) of DeSable, PEI, Dorothy Spence (Dale) of Halifax, NS, Ted Gallant (Mirna) of Fredericton, NB and Ann Ramsay (Gordon) of Stratford, PEI; and his sisters, Lauriel Richard of Moncton, NB and Carol Carroll of Ottawa, Ontario..

Funeral service will be held on the Miramichi at a later date pending COVID restrictions.

As expressions of sympathy in Leonce's memory, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
