He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Blakely and Margaret "Peggy" Blakely (Dempsey); his brother Daniel; his siblings-in-law, Jeannie Reynolds, Paul Reynolds and Byron Gillis; and his nephew Darcy Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his sons, Christopher Blakely (Natalie) of Fredericton, Patrick Blakely (Teri) of Miramichi, John Blakely (Selena) of Miramichi and Joey Blakely (Cassie) of Moncton; his grandchildren, CeCe, Maggie and Felix; his siblings, Maureen Williston (Ralph) of Miramichi and Bernie Blakely (Theresa) of Grand Bay; and his sisters-in-law, Crystal Blakely, Hope Glen (Kevin), Gloria Stewart (Calvin), Jacqueline Phee (Courtney), Penny Cormier (Peter), Sally Gillis and Darla Isfeld.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy may be made through donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada.
