He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Gilliss and Linda Gilliss (McLenaghan); and his brothers, Keith, Steven, Kenny and Dougie.
He is survived by: his son Jason Gilliss; his stepsons, Ricky Chapman (Erica) and Rodney Chapman; his grandchildren, Riley, Reese and Wyatt; his siblings, Judy MacDonald (Donnie), Debbie Gilliss, Kathy MacDonald (Avard), Winnie Gilliss, David Gilliss, Randy Gilliss and Terry Gilliss (Karen); and his nephew Mike Gilliss. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
