She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cabel and Myrtle Cabel (Smith); her husband Andrew Gilliss; and her siblings, Jean MacKnight, Gladys Hackett, Kenneth (Bud), Vince and Billy Cabel.

She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda MacIntosh (Jim) of Miramichi, Sharon Savoy (late David) of Miramichi and Valerie Brennan (Blair); her grandchildren, Nicole, Stacey, Amy, Elizabeth and Darren; her great grandchildren, Savana, Becky, Clair and Maxime; and her siblings, Alberta, Beryl MacKnight (Raymond) of Napan and Don Cabel (June) of Napan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
