He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burns and Beatrice Burns (Wood); and his brother Bobby Burns. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Doran-Burns of Miramichi; his siblings, Cathy Somers of Miramichi and John Burns of Miramichi; and his children, Chris Burns (Carla), Tom Burns (Nicole), Andrew Burns (Riley) and Isaac Doran. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
