He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph MacDonald and Katherine MacDonald (Shields); his wife Dawn Ann MacDonald (Matchett); and his siblings, Edith Surrette (Pete) and Kenny.
He is survived by: his children, Krista Dickson (Billy) of Miramichi, Jody MacDonald (Lori O'Neill) of Miramichi and Scott MacDonald (Erin) of Niagara Falls, Ontario; his grandchildren, Rebecca Arbeau (Jarrett), Kaitlyn MacDonald, Faith Dickson, Brooklyn MacDonald, Abby MacDonald, Lyvia MacDonald and Nate Dickson; his great grandchild Gracie-Dawn Arbeau; his siblings, Sharon MacLean of Scarborough, Donna Savoy (Carl) of Miramichi and Ronnie MacDonald (Terry) of Napan; and his sister-in-law Lola MacDonald of Moncton.
