He was predeceased by : his parents, Benjamin Dickson and Eileen Dickson (Power); his former life partner Donna Dickson; his grandson Canaan Black; his brother Robert Dickson; and his brothers-in-law, Roland Matthews, Stan Ball, John Collette and Wilbur Carroll.

He is survived by : his daughters, Deanna Black (Cecil) of Shamrock, PE and Sonya Dickson (Timmy Collette) of Moncton, NB; his stepson Craig Stevens (Geraldine) of New Minas, NS; his siblings, Lillian Ball of Niagara Falls, ON, Clara Collette of Miramichi, Violet Matthews of Miramichi, Jean Carroll of Miramichi, Geraldine Arbeau (Campbell) of Saint John, NB, Benny Dickson (Mildred) of Miramichi and John Dickson (Wendy) of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Courtney Black and Robert Stevens; his close friend Brenda Watling; and his caregiver Billy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
