William Sweezey Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of William Sweezey (Miramichi, New Brunswick). William, born on March 15, 1932, passed away on September 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Sweezey (Williston); his brother Robert Sweezey (Geneva); and his parents, Benson Sweezey and Florence Sweezey (Jardine). He is survived by: his children, Kirk Sweezey (Marsha) of Miramichi, Scott Sweezey of Miramichi, Beth McCloskey (Brian) of Miramichi and Jeff Sweezey of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Janessa, Emily, Benjamin, Abby and Emma; his great grandchild Owen; and his brother Hubert Sweezey (Pauline) of Miramichi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home Ltd. (140 King St, Miramichi, NB E1N2N9). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Andrew's United Church (188 Wellington St, Miramichi, NB E1N1M4).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew's United Church Community Kitchen or a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
