She was predeceased by : her mother Winnifred Stewart. She is survived by : her children, Jennifer MacLeod, Allyson Fitzpatrick of Alberta and Elie Fitzpatrick (Valene Lyons) of New Bandon; her siblings, Claudia Stewart of Miramichi, Nancy Stewart (Wayne) of Miramichi, Myles Stewart (Kathy) of Cassilis, Reggie Stewart (Susan) of Maple Glen and Laurie Stewart (Linda) of Chelmsford; and her granddaughter Hannah MacLeod. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to Miramichi SPCA and Children's Wish Foundation.

“Being a close friend of Ned McGee, I went to visit him in Miramichi quite a few times. Winnie was always around helping show us a good time. She (Winnie) introduced Kelly and I to tubing. What a wonderful memory. If you needed something, Winnie was always there. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to all her family and friends. RIP Winnie. Signed, Rob Donohoe.”
