He was predeceased by: his parents, Azade Gallant and Marie Gallant; his wife Bertha Breau; his former wife May Gallant (Melanson); and his brothers, John and Adrien.

He is survived by: his children, Catherine, Norman (Ute) of Moncton and Michel of Moncton; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Marie, Lina and Justin; and his stepchildren, Yvonne, Annette, Charles, Armand and Ronald. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
