He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur MacDonald and Jean MacDonald (Mugridge); his brother Stuart; and his siblings-in-law, Delma Johnston and Ralph Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Lois (Johnston); his children, John (Darlene), Ann, Rod (Susan) and Jamie (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Gretchen, Brendan, Ella and Jack.
