He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hicks and Stella Hicks; his wife Marina; and his siblings, Don and Carol.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna of Fredericton; and his brothers, John (Edna) and Robert (Heather). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In Cecil's memory, donations can be made to the Renal Care Program at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont. University Hospital Centre or to a charity of the donor's choice.
