He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldé Cormier and Corinne Hébert; and his siblings, Yves, Aldé and Laura.

He is survived by: his adoptive parents, Hector J. Cormier and Simonne LeBlanc-McCarthy; his close friend Elizabeth Gallant; his siblings, Anne-Marie Appleby (Paul Griffith) of Stoney Creek, Francine LeBlanc (Gérard) of Dieppe, Norma Gillis of Moncton, Albert Cormier (Mae) of Moncton and Allain Cormier of Edmonton, Alberta.; and his half-sister Nicole Cormier (Ray Green) of Moncton.

In this time of pandemic, the family will opt for a private burial ceremony at the Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
