He was predeceased by: his parents, Treneta Rands and Reginald Rands; and his brother Reginald Smith. He is survived by: his close friends, Michèle and Glenn; his wife Iola; his son Nathan; his siblings, Bruce (Alice) of Halifax, Kathy (Larry) of Lower Sackville and Kim (Sharon) of Jasper; and his goddaughter Mandy Barrieau. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews.
