He was predeceased by: his parents, James Steeves and Hazel Steeves (Smith); his son Daniel Jr.; and his siblings, Joy, James, Vaughan, Robert and Melvin.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Steeves; his children, Lorna Steeves (Jason) and James Steeves (Venessa); his grandchildren, Samantha (Nick), Logan, Evan and Vincent; his great grandchild Arlo; and his siblings, Mae Funk, Delbert Steeves (Becky) and Charles Steeves (Eleanor). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
