He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Smith and Geraldine Smith (Bissett); and his siblings, Fred and Joan Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Joan Smith (Laakso); his sons, Jeff (Graham) of Moncton and Dale (Cindy) of Kitchener, ON; his grandchildren, Emily, Julia and Dylan; and his sisters, Gwen Culbert of Oshawa, ON and Martha Roberts of Hamilton, ON. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
