We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2026, Esther Vaughan in Moncton, New Brunswick passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Melbourne Douthwright; her daughters, Beverly Harrison (Byron), Sandra Richard (Marc), Heidi Vaughan (Paul) and Valerie Vaughan (Kelly); her grandson Raymond Bourque; her siblings, Shirley Morrissey and Lee Douthwright; her husband Frank Vaughan of Parrsboro; her sister Faye Douthwright; and her brother-in-law Stillman Morrissey. She was also cherished by several nieces and, nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Salisbury Funeral Home (3350 NB-106, Salisbury, NB E4J3H3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel (3350 NB-106, Salisbury, NB E4J3H3).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Esther's name to Pine Hill Cemetery or to a charity of your choice.

“Wanted to express our sadness in hearing of Esther’s passing. She was such a genuine and gentle soul. We had attended church together at Hillside. Esther also assisted Grace and Jack for years and we all loved her. She made a point of making others feel special with her sincere inquires about how they were doing. At Jack’s recent funeral she was sitting on the end of an aisle and she reached out and touched Grace’s hand in a sign of sympathy. That gesture meant a great deal to Grace.”
