He was predeceased by: his parents, Edouard Caissie and Dorilla Caissie (Léger); and his siblings, Simonne, Clarence and Noël.
He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Sylvie Scharnberg (John) of Moncton, Stéphane (Nathalie), Daniel (Rachelle) of Saint and Antoine; his grandchildren, Shanelle, Chloé, Philippe, Joshua, Sara and Marissa; and his sisters, Maria Saulnier of Sainte, Marie, Kent, Jeanne, Mance Hébert (Joseph), Fernande Caissie of Bouctouche, Bernice Caissie (Ken Watters) of Moncton, Dorilla Richard (Roger) of Saint and Antoine. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In Gerard's memory, donations may be made to the CHU DUMONT Foundation.
