He was predeceased by: his parent Alfred Melanson. He is survived by: his parent Georgina Melanson; his wife Francine; his sons, Rick (Julie) and Victor (Lisa); his grandchildren, Gabrielle, David, Nicole, Jonathan and Emelie; his great grandchild Aurélie; and his siblings, Valmond (Peggy), Rheal (Yvonne), Norma, Patricia, Phyllis and Lise (Paul). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
