He was predeceased by: his parents, Bliss MacDonald and Kathleen MacDonald (Mitton). He is survived by: his wife Audrey MacDonald; his son Kenneth MacDonald (Allison); his granddaughters, Olivia and Sadie; and his sisters, Charlotte Trenholm (Harry) and Elizabeth Crawford (Allen). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In memory of Lawrence, memorial donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital (friendsfoundation.ca), NB Heart and Stroke Foundation (heartandstroke.ca) or The Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca) would be appreciated.
