With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Josephine Hicks of Moncton, New Brunswick, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2026 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Mitton and Mary Mitton (McGeown); her sisters, Lornette Snider (late Wayne) of Riverview, NB, Eva Plourde (late Martin) of Manitouwadge, ON, Shirley Boal (late Ken) and Eileen Mitton of Moncton; and her brothers-in-law, Joe Hicks (late Ella) of Chatham, NB, Harold Hicks (late Betty), Carl Hicks (late Barbara) of Moncton, NB, Leonard Hicks (Pat-Anne) of Sackville, NB and Baxter Hicks (Patsy) of Sackville, NB..
She is survived by: her friend Karen; her close friends, Mary, Marcie, Gail, Dorothy, Debbie, Anne, Audrey, Mike, Carry and Pat; her husband Claude Hicks of Moncton; her children, Tanya MacLeod of Moncton, Travis Hicks (Charla) of Moncton, Sheri Jones (Wayne) of Halifax, NS and Darren Jones (Shanda) of Halifax, NS; her grandchildren, Shaye, Owen and Amelia; her brothers, Albert Mitton (Dorothy) of Riverview and Eugene Mitton (Myrna) of Riverview; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Sears (late Larry) of Sackville, NB and Kay Wells (late Victor) of Center Village, NB. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fergusons Funeral Home (1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton, NB E1G1A5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel (1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton, NB E1G1A5).
