He was predeceased by: his parents, George Purdy and Evelyn Purdy (Olive); his former wife Eleanor Purdy (Kent); his daughter-in-law Janet; and his siblings, Frances Phinney, Lois Cormier and Hubert.
He is survived by: his friend Bill W.; his wife Harriet Purdy (Shirley); his children, Barbara "Barb" Gauvin (Michel), Brian Purdy (Alberte), Brent Purdy, Ian Purdy (late Janet) and Carle Brown (Peggy); his sister Joyce Holmes (late George); and his sister-in-law Audrey Purdy. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
