He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Allain and Régina Allain (Poirier); his wife Laura Chase; and his siblings, Emma, Doris, Mae, Julia, Alvina, Adelard, Willie, Thaddée, Eddé, Normand, Alyre, Aquila and Élie.

He is survived by: his children, Noëlla Després (Jean-Paul) of Moncton, Estelle Allain of Moncton, Rosemay Allain (Jack Didychuk) of Moncton and Edgar (Lisa Rideout) of Moncton; his grandchildren, Michel (Toni), Lynne (Ricky), Ginette (Dean), Lisa (Peter), Ashley (Josh) and Jason; his great grandchildren, Alexandre (Sam), Emma (Kayla), Jérémie, Justin (Abbie), Grace, Julie, Ryan, Anna, Benjamin and Victoria; and his sister Gloria MacMillan (late Eddie) of Acton, ON. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
