She was predeceased by: her parents, Manley O'Blenis and Lena O'Blenis (Layton); her husband James Howard Piers; her daughter Penny Lynn; and her siblings, Donald O'Blenis and Aileen Peterson.

She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Piers Halifax (Graeme Duffus); and her niece Sandra Sim (Taylor).
