She was predeceased by: her parents, Pierre Gallant and Elizabeth Gallant; her husband Hector Fontaine; and her sisters, Lillianne, Dorina and Corinne.

She is survived by: her children, Francis Fontaine (Nadine) of Niagara Falls, Robert Fontaine (Francine) of Moncton, Bernard Fontaine (Rachelle) of Fredericton, Joanne Fontaine (John) of Moncton, Rachelle Purdy (Lloyd) of Grande-Digue and Lucille Fontaine (Léona Arsenault); her sister Léona McDermott of Dieppe; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Kevin, Vanessa, Nathalie, Renée, Erin, Marielle and Stéphane. She is also survived by thirteen great grand-children; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
