It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita May Murphy (Moncton, New Brunswick), who passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank MacDonald and Maggie MacDonald; her husband James Murphy; and her siblings, Winnie, Joseph and Ted.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia "Pat" Pothier (Claude), Michael Murphy (Dianne) and Mark Murphy (MaryAnne); her grandchildren, Heather (Tyler) and Cory (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Avalon, Logan and Isabelle (Nova Scotia); her stepgrandchildren, Curt and Kari (Jon); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Florence and Remi (Alberta). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
