He was predeceased by: his parents, Alyre Cyr and Béatrice Cyr (Lavigne); his son Gary; and his brothers, Norbert Cyr, Cyr Melvin (Jeannine) and Harold Cyr.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Cyr (Cormier) of Grande-Anse, NB; his daughters, Bonita Cyr of Bathurst, NB and Debbie Levasseur (Pierre) of Dieppe, NB; his grandchildren, Marc, Eric Savoie, Janelle and Jake Levasseur; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Alyssa, Florence and Nicolas; and his sisters, Cora Doucet (late Camille Doucet) of Petit-Rocher, NB and Norma Pitre (late Alcide Pitre) of Bathurst, NB. He is also survived by many nieces and, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Centre Funéraire Frenette Funeral Centre (88 Church St, Moncton, NB E1C4Z5). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre (88 Church St, Moncton, NB E1C4Z5).
