He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Carter and Annie Carter (Leonard) of Kouchibouguac; and his siblings, Christina Daigle, Joan, Julia Carter, William and John (late Lillian).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Flanagan); his daughters, Laurie Mullins (Jeff) of Debert, NS, Susan Jamieson (Mark) of Moncton, Lynn Carter Thain (Tracy Bonang) of Dartmouth, NS and Lisa (Ian Chisholm) of Ottawa, ON; his grandchildren, Josh, Christina, Alex, Ashley, Megan, Eileen and Malcolm; his siblings, Frank (Lorraine), Ronald (Ann), Ray (Janice), Helen Stride (Ed), Donna Bernard (late Scott) and Maureen Strong (John); and his siblings-in-law, Bob Meschino and Hilda Carter. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fergusons Funeral Home (1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton, NB E1G1A5). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church (43 Botsford St, Moncton, NB E1C4W9).
