She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Barter and Inez Barter (Cole); her husband Arley; and her siblings, Barbara, Helen, Jane, Lydia, Patricia, Paul, Morell and Peter.

She is survived by: her children, Kelly (Elsie), Lance, Bill (Judy) and Arlene Steeves (Glenn); her grandchildren, Harris (Kyle), Jody (Jamie), Sean, Jonathan, Thomas (Patrick) and Kristin (Andrew); and her sisters, Leela McAllister and Carol Boudreau. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
